I’m fine.
Dear Friends
Just to reassure you. I’m fine (although one can’t help but think about the future occasionally). Have no intention of dissolving in thin air yet, too many books I still want to read, too many old friends I want to share ideas with, too many new friends I hope to make.
But as you can see from the photo (taken a week ago), I’m still very much here.
hugs to all
Erika

Glad to hear it!! Your post, however, as always was beautifully written, evocative and thought provoking!

Bongiorno Erika, I have decided I am returning for the sixth year in a row to Orvieto. I’m looking forward to seeing you once again my dear friend. I will be arriving on September 7 later this year. As always, Mike.

You definitely worried Cynthia, who I saw yesterday. I had not read your piece closely before, since I was traveling to New York when it arrived, but I did then, and immediately reassured her….it was clear you were contemplating your legacy but that you were definitely looking to continue life for a while longer. I read it as a poem…it was eloquent and quite lovely. Not depressing, but impressively thoughtful. Hugs from here J
