By the way, all of the virtual flowers I have sent to you are watercolor paintings executed by a dear friend of mine here in San Francisco. Gary Bukovnik is a very successful watercolor artist exhibited in major museums around the world. I have one of his works hanging in my living room over my fireplace. The City of San Francisco has recently commissioned a documentary film to be made about his life.
Gary Bukovnik was born in Ohio and his art teacher there told him he would never be a successful artist and he should find something else to do. He contemplated committing suicide but then moved to San Francisco and over the years became very successful. Just Google ‘Gary Bukovnik’ and you will see. The Japanese really love his work. He has an exhibition coming up in Mexico City in a few months and in September has a major exhibition in Barcelona. He and his partner are good friends.
